Lets give some of you Young Bucks in the MC world something to think about“SOME THINGS WE JUST DONT F**K WITH”…

Older members…

You know the ones I’m talking about.

The ones who have served under multiple presidents, survived club wars, buried brothers, recovered from accidents, and watched entire generations of members come and go.

The ones who helped build your clubhouse, establish your charter, protect your reputation, and create the traditions that younger members now enjoy.

When it’s time to take a long ride, attend an event, handle club business, or travel across the state, they may not be able to participate the way they once did. Their knees may be bad. Their backs may be worn out. Their eyesight may not be what it used to be. Some may need a cane, a walker, or even a wheelchair.

So what do we do?

Do we fine them?

Do we strip them of their patches?

Do we force them into retirement simply because Father Time finally caught up with them?

In my humble opinion… ABSOLUTELY NOT.

We don’t fine them. We don’t punish them. We don’t embarrass them. And we definitely don’t put them out.

We make sure the clubhouse is open. We make sure the refrigerator is fully stocked with beer. We leave a prospect behind to throw some hot dogs and burgers on the grill. Then we tell those old bastards to sit back, relax, watch the house, and keep the stories flowing until the rest of us return.

Why?

Because they have already put their time in.

They have attended the meetings, paid the dues, made the rides, stood beside their brothers, protected the patch, and sacrificed time away from their families. They carried the club when many of today’s members didn’t even know what a three-piece patch was.

They are now “LIFERS.”

They have reached the Mount Olympus of the club. They are living history—walking, talking pieces of the foundation upon which the club stands. Their presence should be considered an honor, not an inconvenience.

A club that throws away its elders throws away its history. And once a club loses respect for the men who built it, the younger members learn that loyalty has an expiration date.

Keep something else in mind: most of the people wearing your patch today will never make it that far. Some will quit. Some will be put out. Some will jump to another club. Some will disappear the moment the sacrifice becomes greater than the attention they receive and quite honestly some will die.

But those old men stayed.

They earned the right to slow down without being left behind. They earned the right to remain without constantly proving themselves. They earned their seats, their patches, their stories, and every ounce of respect the club can give them.

Anyone who believes these men should be punished, stripped, or forced out because they can no longer participate the way they did thirty years ago needs to be taken out back and taught a lesson…

Preferably by one of those old men.

Just give him a minute to grab his cane.💯
