School begins Thursday, August 13th!

Thursday will be our annual No Backpack Day, with school getting out at 1 pm and lunch to follow. Friday will be our new normal minimum day, with school getting out at 12:32 pm and lunch following.

We hope everyone has had a restful summer break and is excited to start the school year. We'll see everyone on Thursday!

Tonight the Elk Grove Lions gathered for our dinner meeting at the Gil Albiani Recreation Center, where we had the honor of awarding a scholarship to Elk Grove High School’s own Gabby Bambula.

If Gabby looks familiar, it’s because she’s one of those amazing people who’s always volunteering with the Elk Grove Lions and the Elk Grove FFA. Apparently, she enjoys helping the community… and making questionable life choices like trusting us to cook dinner.

The good news? She survived the meal.

Congratulations, Gabby! Thank you for everything you already do for our community. We know you’re going to do great things, and we’re proud to play a small part in your journey.

Now if we could just figure out how to make dinner as impressive as our scholarship recipients…
