I want to briefly address some statements that have been made about me since my resignation.

I understand there are different perspectives, however some of the claims being shared about my intentions are simply not accurate. My decision to step away was not personal and was not about “getting my way”. It was based on concerns I raised over time regarding financial structure, reporting consistency, and access to supporting documentation. Areas that are critical for any youth organization.

Out of respect for the families and athletes, I’m not going to engage in public back and forth or share internal communications. That said, I stand behind what I communicated and how I handled it.

I am more than willing to provide documentation that reflects the information I was working from and the concerns I raised multiple times.

While I am no longer involved with the organization, I remain committed to supporting athletes and families however I can. If anyone has questions or would like to connect, I’m always open to having respectful, honest conversations and sharing my perspective.

‼️Important message to all Elgin Steelers Football & Cheer Families.‼️

I wanted to personally share that I have made the decision to step down from my position with the organization, effective immediately.

This was not an easy decision. Being part of this program and working with your athletes has meant a great deal to me. I’m incredibly proud of the time, energy, and care that has gone into supporting not only the growth of the program, but more importantly, the experience of each athlete and family involved.

Over time, it became clear that the current structure and approach to financial management and overall operations no longer align with the level of transparency, accountability, and consistency that I believe are necessary to best support our athletes and families.

For any organization serving our community’s youth, clear financial practices and open communication are essential. Families should feel confident in how funds are managed and comfortable asking questions or requesting clarity when needed.

Organizations are expected to maintain proper records and operate with transparency, and it’s important for families to stay informed and engaged in how things are run. With that, I encourage families to speak up and ask questions when things are not clear or transparent, especially financially.

I want to sincerely thank all of you for your support and trust during my time with the program. It has truly been a privilege to be part of your athletes’ journeys, and I will always support their growth and success moving forward.

📣 ELGIN STEELERS CHEER COACHES NEEDED! 📣

Have you ever thought about coaching cheer but worried you don’t have experience?
That’s okay. We’ve got you! 💛🖤

You do NOT need prior cheer or coaching experience to get started.
✔️ Training opportunities will be provided
✔️ Certification support is included
✔️ Flexible practice scheduling

Right now, securing coaches is critical over the next month or two so we can confidently form teams for the upcoming season.
👉 Without coach commitments, teams cannot be formed and that directly impacts whether girls are placed on a team.

Coaching is an amazing way to:

✨ Be part of a growing, supportive cheer program

🖤💛 Looking Ahead to the 2026 Elgin Steelers Cheer Season! 🖤💛

We’re excited to start planning for the 2026 cheer season (July 13–mid/late November) and can’t wait to build a strong year for our athletes!

📣 Teams will be offered for ages 5–14, including fundamentals (5-6), sideline only (7-8 and 9-10), and competition teams (9-10, 11-12, 12-13). Please note that teams depend on having committed coaches, so registration will open for all but some teams may be waitlisted until a coach is secured. If a team can’t be formed, a full refund will be provided equivalent to the amount paid within payment plans.

📝 Registration opens February 8th (subject to change) and closes promptly July 1st.

💰 Costs range from $150–$425, depending on level

📌 Team slush fees will be collected throughout the season by team moms

✨ We’re welcoming new board members, including Jennifer our new Assistant Cheer Director, focusing on transparency, skill development, and competition opportunities for our athletes.

✨ Elgin Steelers Cheer Showcase – THIS SATURDAY! ✨

Our girls have worked incredibly hard all season long learning new skills, mastering routines, and showing up with dedication, heart, and spirit. Now it’s their time to shine! 💛🖤✨

We invite all families, friends, and supporters to come cheer them on at our End of Year Cheer Showcase this Saturday, November 15th at Elgin High School in the Main Gym.

These girls have supported our football players from the sidelines all season so let’s pack the gym and show them that same love! 🙌🏽📣

Come enjoy performances from all squads, fun parent-participation moments, and a celebration of everything our cheerleaders have achieved this year.

Hi Steelers Family! 💛🖤

We have some exciting news to share as we head into the holiday season! The Elgin Steelers are in the early stages of partnering with Toys for Tots to bring a little extra holiday cheer to our families and kids this year. 🎁✨

This partnership could give us the opportunity to help Steelers families with children ages newborn to 12 years old to receive toys this Christmas. Spreading joy, community, and support to those who need it most.

Please take a moment to read the attached letter for full details on how the program works and how to apply. The letter includes important dates, requirements, and a link to the Google Form application for families who would like to be considered. This link is also posted at the end of this post.

We’re so proud to be part of a community that looks out for one another and we’re hopeful this program can make the holidays a little brighter for our Steelers families.

Now’s your chance to prove it at our Elgin Steelers Cheer Showcase!

We’re looking for Cheer Dads and Football Coaches to perform a fun mini routine at our End-of-Year Showcase this November!

📣 Showcase Date: TBD – either Nov 15, 16, or 22
📍 Location: Elgin High School (EHS)
🕓 Practice: Two 1-hour sessions or one 2-hour session the week before

✨ We need at least 10 participants to make this happen!
It’s a great way to support our Steelers Cheer program, your cheerleader, and show off your moves!
