There’s something truly special about gathering as Lions — not just to install new leaders, but to honor the heart, service, and dedication that make our clubs family.

On June 13, we come together to celebrate the 2026–2027 Boards of Directors for our fellow El Paso Lions Clubs and our Mesa Hills Leos. Each new leader represents hope, continuity, and the promise of another year of serving our community with compassion.

The El Paso Desert Star Lions Club met at the Airport Radisson Hotel March 7th, where members welcomed Lion Laura Charity as the guest speaker. Serving as the District Legacy Lion Chairperson, she spoke about the importance of selecting a club Legacy Lion.

The club also discussed the Butter Braid fundraising project, which is off to a very successful start. These pastries are both delicious and easy to sell, making them a great addition to the club’s fundraising efforts.

The El Paso Desert Star Lions Club gathered at Great American Steakburger February 18th for an evening of fellowship and the camaraderie our members are known for. We were pleased to welcome First Vice District Governor Brian Carter and his wife, Emma Carter, to our meeting.

During the meeting, First Vice District Governor Brian Carter – who encouraged our own Armando Medrano to seek the position of District 2-T3 Second Vice District Governor in April 2026 – shared updates and fellowship with the club. It was also announced that the El Paso Desert Star Lions Club has proudly supported several fellow Lions Clubs by contributing to their golf tournaments, as well as the Texas Lions Camp's 2026 Harry Wickersham Golf Tournament.

We are proud, we are generous, and we remain committed to supporting our fellow Lions across District 2-T3!
