MOD Improv Fusion Dance A Belly Dance inspired Fusion Dance Group In class we are taught musicality, basic form and proper positioning, muscle isolation drills, style and technique.

The MOD (My Own Drum) Tribal belly dance troupe is an ATS and ITS (Improvisational Tribal Style) tribal fusion belly dance group/class based out of El Paso, TX. We are all students of belly dance, who have a passion for the dance’s beauty and a strong appreciation for it’s complexity. However, we are all encouraged to bring our own unique interpretation and style by combining individuality and per

sonal growth. If you are interested in Belly Dancing and/or performing with M.O.D. Tribal than don't forget you have to start from the beginning. There are many styles of belly dance, M.O.D. Tribal's style is ATS combined with I.T.S. What is I.T.S.?? It is Improvisational Tribal Style, a modern style of belly dance that’s focus is on the group as opposed to a solo performance(er). I.T.S. uses a vocabulary of movements and cues which allow the dancers to communicate while dancing and appear as moving in harmony of one another without choreography. Solo’s are performed however, they are generally supported by the group environment.
