Thank you all for coming in for packet pickup, we are so excited for Sunday's event. Our final count is 450! Which is a huge success, as this is our first event.

Get ready for a Sunday full of fun with running, music, food trucks, activities, and drinks 😉

📍Sept 22nd. Ascarate Event Directions & Parking:⁠

Enter through the main entrance and go around the roundabout.⁠
Take a right onto Tom Lea Blvd.⁠
Follow the street (it will curve left) to the Old Western Playland Parking Lot.⁠
Look for signs guiding you to the event area.⁠
The starting line will be directly to your left as you enter from the parking lot.⁠

⏰ Arrival Time:⁠
⁠
Please arrive by 7:30 AM for the race meeting and national anthem.⁠
Race Start: 8 AM sharp.⁠
⁠
🏃‍♂ Race Details:⁠
⁠
5k Race: Two laps around the lake, finishing at the starting point.⁠
8k Race: Three laps around the lake, finishing at the starting point.⁠
1 Mile Walk: Follow the paved road alongside the lake (Joe Yarbrough to N R E Thomason Loop), make a U-turn, and return to the start.⁠
