Unity Through Creativity was honored to have Hal Marcus speak at our International Day of Peace celebrations. Here is a video of his 2024 speech, which is more poignant now that he is no longer with us. May his stories, wisdom and model of a joyous life
lift you up.

This year we will celebrate "Hands-on Peace Day" on Saturday, Sept. 26 from 9:00-5:00 at Abara. This five and a half acre international peace center is located at the old Hacienda restaurant and the first Fort Bliss buildings across from UTEP. The spirit of Hal Marcus will keep strengthening our determination to make a peaceful and just world.

I had the privilege of being in my native Pittsburgh when Fred Rogers died. His spirit filled the air for over a week. People were kinder, more tender, simpler, loved the kids a little more. I am having a similar experience with the passing of Hal Marcus Studio & Gallery. His spirit is filling the air of El Paso. I am meeting him around every corner and every other Instagram post. People are more colorful, more willing to find the joy in their lives and more courageous in unabashedly being their wild and beautiful selves. I met Hal only five years ago when I moved to El Paso. We immediately connected on our love of Peace and Art. Here is a lovely talk he gave at the 2024 International Day of Peace Symposium, held at UTEP and organized by Unity Through Creativity Foundation. His words have new power now.

Casting a Field of Creativity and Love - April 10-12th Facilitator Training
If you are committed to creativity and collaboration, we invite you to consider gaining skills in collaborative art and storytelling for your tool kit. Please join CoHeart 12 of Innovative Team Building on April 10th-12th. The workshop is both on-line and in-person at the El Paso UTC studio. No art experience is necessary. We are also training current facilitators to train others in this Co-Heart.

Participants will have complete experience of designing and creating a Singing Tree® Mural. This can be a stand alone workshop or completed as a pre-requisite for certification.
