IT'S THE FIRST DAY OF PRIDE, Y'ALL! Today we celebrate love, authenticity, community, and the courage to be yourself. Pride is about honoring those who came before us, uplifting those who are still finding their voice, and creating a world where everyone feels seen, supported, and celebrated. Whether you're LGBTQIA+, an ally, a family member, or simply someone who believes in kindness and inclusion, you belong here. Happy Pride Month from all of us at Equality El Dorado! We can't wait to celebrate with our community at Pride in the Park and Pride After Dark on June 6th.

Inclusive healthcare means people can receive care without fear of judgment, discrimination, or being misunderstood. When LGBTQIA+ people feel safe and respected by healthcare providers, they are more likely to seek care early, be honest about their needs, and return for treatment when needed.

Inclusive healthcare can improve mental health, reduce isolation, and help prevent serious health outcomes. Simple actions like respecting names and pronouns, listening without assumptions, and creating welcoming environments can make a life changing difference.

Everyone deserves healthcare where they feel safe, respected, and cared for.

Inclusion means making sure more people feel seen, respected, and able to participate. It doesn’t take anything away from others, it expands the space so everyone belongs.
When we include people of different identities and experiences, we’re not replacing anyone, we’re recognizing that there’s room for all of us.
Inclusion strengthens communities by building understanding, reducing harm, and creating environments where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.

Drag is a form of performance where people dress up and express themselves, often by exaggerating gender through clothing, makeup, and character. It can be artistic, theatrical, funny, or bold.
Drag exists as a way for people to explore creativity, challenge gender norms, and celebrate self-expression. It has deep roots in LGBTQ+ history and has long been a space for community, visibility, and resilience.
At its core, drag is about performance, creativity, and freedom of expression.
