So excited for this opportunity!!! May is Poppy month and Good Times Grill is remembering our Veterans. They will be presenting all the children when they come in for a meal with a Poppy Coloring Book and a box of colors, compliments of Unit 10 American Legion Auxiliary. They will also be offered a color sheet that will displayed on the wall. REMEMBER OUR VETERANS!!

The Month of the Military Child, recognized every April, honors the unique challenges, quiet sacrifices, and selfless contributions of children in military families. Through it all, these children show incredible resilience and strength. 💪

Across the country, communities are encouraged to celebrate military children and raise awareness of their experiences.🫂 Make sure to wear your purple this month and on Purple Up! Day — April 15 — to show appreciation for military children and their families. 💜 Wearing purple symbolizes unity for military children across all branches of the military, and it’s an easy way to show your support and remind them that they are seen and appreciated.

There are many ways to celebrate Month of the Military Child in April. 🇺🇸 This year, Wednesday, April 15, 2026, has been designated as Purple Up! Day. Auxiliary members and their Juniors are encouraged to wear purple clothing and share the ALA’s commitment to support those military kids and their families. 💜

Hurricanes, floods, fires, tornadoes, or a personal crisis. The American Legion Auxiliary Emergency Fund (AEF) provides disaster and hardship assistance to ALA members. Last fiscal year (October 2024 to September 2025), the ALA awarded over $529,000 in AEF grants — the most impactful year on record. A few members who were recipients of the funding share the life-changing difference AEF made. ❤️‍🩹

The Honor Flight Network is a nonprofit organization founded in 2005 and is comprised of about 130 independent hubs across the country with a common goal — to honor veterans from World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War by providing an all-expenses-paid trip to Washington, D.C. to visit their memorials, to honor their service, and provide them the recognition they deserve.🏛️ 🇺🇸 Check out the ALA blog to read more about the Auxiliary’s partnership with Honor Flight. ✈️
