EAA Artist Spotlight - EAA member Wilhelmina Stocker.
"Wilhelmina's art is an autobiographical journey expressed through paintings—each piece intuitively created, often before its full meaning was understood. The imagery, chosen by instinct, reflects the essence of lived experiences, emotional growth, and inner transformation. Together, these works form a visual narrative of lessons learned, intentions embraced, and the unfolding path of self-discovery.
About Wilhelmina
Wilhemina Stöcker is a Dutch artist whose creative journey began in The Netherlands at the age of twelve. Motivated by a passion for self-expression and storytelling through color and form, she found painting to be a meaningful way to interpret the world and express what words could not convey.
After spending a brief period in British Columbia, Canada, Wilhelmina relocated to the United States in 2001. Her journey led her through several states before she ultimately made Guthrie, Oklahoma her home in 2011. Today, she continues her artistic practice and serves her clients from this location.
Artistic Process and Philosophy
Wilhelmina’s paintings are deeply personal, serving as reflections of her inner transformation, emotional evolution, and lived experiences. She describes her creative process as “from soul to canvas,” allowing intuition to guide each brushstroke. Her approach is founded on the belief that art is energy made visible, and that each person naturally radiates their true essence in both life and creativity.
Body of Work
Working exclusively with acrylics, Wilhelmina’s current body of work is distinguished by its emotional depth and empowering intentions. Each piece is designed to resonate on a soul level, encouraging viewers to connect, reflect, and discover their own meaning within the art. Her paintings often act as mirrors, providing comfort, healing, or a sense of recognition for those who engage with them."
