We never know the reason God allows us to go through trials at the time, but we can always look back and praise Him not only because we made it through, but because we can see how it was for our benefit.

"In this you greatly rejoice, even though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been distressed by various trials, so that the proof of your faith, being more precious than gold which perishes though tested by fire, may be found to result in praise, glory, and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ;" 1 Peter 1:6-7

"The Lord sat as King at the flood; Yes, the Lord sits as King forever." Psalm 29:10

Even though there was only one righteous man on earth at the time of the flood, God was still King of the whole earth. Our belief or non-belief has absolutely zero impact on His reign of the world. It is His.

Nothing is out of His control or out of the realm of possibility. No matter what we're going through, the God we serve can and will deliver His people. Even if only one believes.

“God is not man, that he should lie, or a son of man, that he should change his mind. Has he said, and will he not do it? Or has he spoken, and will he not fulfill it?” Numbers 23:19

"Look upon my affliction and my trouble, and forgive all my sins." Psalm 25:18

David had every reason in the world to blame his troubles on those who persecuted him, and he did. But in the midst of all of that, he still acknowledged that his own sins were the biggest problem in his life.

We can cry out to God about every unfair circumstance in our life, but He is most concerned about the sin that separates us from Him.

"If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land." 2 Chronicles 7:14

"The earth is the Lord's, and all it contains, the world, and those who dwell in it." Psalm 24:1

We can run from God, but we can't hide from Him. He "allows" us (key word there) to disobey Him and live, for a time, apart from His direction. It's called free will. Exercising that kind of freedom leads to bo***ge - we just get wrapped up in our own tangled mess.

The real freedom we have is to serve a sovereign God, One who cares for us, and the only One who has the ability to move heaven and earth for His people.

“This day I call the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live.” Deuteronomy 30:19

"The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want... Surely goodness and loving kindness will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever." Psalm 23:1,6

If I had room, I would have just posted the whole chapter and asked you to read it over and over and over again. Our walk with God is summed up in 6 verses of scripture.

He makes sure we have our needs met. He makes sure we are safe. He sets the direction for our lives. All we have to do is follow Him, and HE will make sure we spend an eternity in heaven.

"The steps of the righteous man are ordered by God." Psalm 37:23

🚨 100-MILE CROSSWALK — VOLUNTEERS NEEDED! ✝️👟

Our Christ Fit Gym 100-Mile Crosswalk is coming up, and we’re looking for people who want to serve alongside us! You don’t have to walk 100 miles to be a huge part of this mission.

September 25 & 26!

🚐 SHUTTLE DRIVERS
We need volunteers willing to drive our shuttle in 4–8 hour shifts, helping transport walkers and crew throughout the Crosswalk.

Drivers must be at least 21 years old and have a valid driver’s license.

🥗 MEALS FOR THE TEAM
We’re looking for individuals, families, restaurants, or businesses willing to provide one or more meals for our walkers and support crew. You can provide just one meal, two meals, or all three!

Day 1: Lunch
Day 2: Breakfast + Lunch

Because we’ll be covering 100 miles, we’re looking for healthy, clean fuel — good carbs, protein, fruit, hydration, and other foods that will keep everyone fueled and moving!

🚙 SUPPORT VEHICLE + DRIVER
We also need a dedicated support vehicle that can stay with the walkers throughout the entire 100 miles. This vehicle will help carry supplies, food, water, and anything else the team needs along the route.

🙏 Want to be part of the 100 miles without walking all 100? This is your opportunity!

Whether you can give 4 hours, provide one meal, drive a shift, or help us for the entire journey, every bit of help makes a difference.
