Judge's Park

Judge's Park Judge's Park is a small animal (rabbit, guinea pig, chinchilla, rat, hamster, gerbil, mouse, etc) rescue. Please see our website for more information!

We began Judge's Park with the hopes of creating a local rescue where small animals would be welcome, as no local rescues will take in small critters. We take in almost anything but dogs, ferrets, and other large animals.

This handsome boy was just owner surrendered to us this evening. Apparently the owner was feeding him fiesta rabbit food? Not only bad for rabbits, but definitely also bad for guinea pigs since it’s not food specifically for them….

He’s also filthy dirty underneath with p**p clumped to his feet and a stained and thinning underside. You’re safe now buddy! He got treated with Revolution and is now in a clean comfy cage settling in. Hopefully he’ll be doing better and will be available soon! We need a new name for his new life!

Transport help needed! Crystal needs to get over to Rainbow vet for her spay, in Darlington. Sometime today or tomorrow morning before 10. Can anyone get her there from Edinburg? I have a couple of appointments today and won’t have time.

Our newest chinchilla is settling in. At this point he reminds me of a dog that’s been beaten and is scared it’s going to happen again. He hides and barks and alarm calls if he hears or sees a human. He has houses and hammocks but he’s made a hole under his wheel and stays there if anyone is downstairs. We’re leaving him treat offerings and giving him time. It’s hard enough for an animal to transition to being at a rescue, much less one who has been emotionally and possibly physically abused.

He is not available for adoption, we’re not accepting apps on him (we have three other chinchillas available on our website), and will not be for a while until he starts learning that he’s safe. This poor boy has been through enough.

Moira and Alexis have been waiting for a home since January of this year but sadly no one wants to adopt pairs :( I don’t want them to go the way of Charles and El who have been waiting for two years 😭😭

All of our bunnies are spayed/neutered, microchipped, RHDV vaccinated, and house trained.

If you are interested in adopting, our adoption application on our website can be filled out. We do work with transports if you are not close!
