A total of 408 Republicans have signed a letter to encourage the US Senate to pass the Respect for Marriage Act which would enshrine marriage equality in federal law.

More than 400 Republicans leaders past and present are calling on the Senate to pass the Respect for Marriage Act and safeguard same-sex marriage rights.
