An article in the Star Tribune included Pat from Metro talking about how cuts are effecting the Meals on Wheels programs here in the Twin Cities. If you ever want to donate, visit our website at crosstownmow.com and at the bottom of all the screens is a link to donate through Square.

Nonprofits say state and federal funding has dried up and philanthropy is down, leaving senior nutrition programs faced with cutting back the number of meals they serve.

Did you know that April is Volunteer Appreciation Month? In a year we have over 300 different people volunteering over 5,000 hours to make our program work. Without these volunteers we would not be able to do what we do! Thank you to all our volunteers!

Ever wondered how the delivery process works?

We have a group of volunteer packers who come in the morning to put meals and sides in bags. The drivers then pick up a batch of bags and bring those out to our clients.

These amazing volunteers not only deliver the meals, but they also check in with the clients to make sure that they are doing ok. Many times this contact is the only time during the week that they have any outside interaction.
