Join us in celebrating EJ as he marks his first anniversary with Sevita!

Over the past year, EJ has played an important role in growing and strengthening our East LA Family Home Agency program. Through community outreach, relationship-building, and a passion for connecting with others, he has helped raise awareness of host home and inspired caring individuals to open their homes and hearts to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Thank you, EJ, for your dedication, energy, and commitment to making a difference. We’re grateful for all you’ve accomplished and look forward to another year of creating opportunities, building connections, and helping more people live fulfilling lives in supportive homes.

Advocacy in action! Recently, Massachusetts Mentor joined more than 100 advocates from across the state at the Massachusetts State House to raise awareness and advocate for Adult Foster Care services.

Working alongside the Massachusetts Council for Adult Foster Care, our team met with State Senators and Representatives to highlight the impact Adult Foster Care has on the lives of individuals who need support to live safely and independently in their communities.

A special thank you to State Representatives Carlos Gonzalez, Bud L. Williams, Mike Kushmerek, State Senator Pat Jehlen, and Senate Chair Tom Stanley for their continued advocacy and support of individuals with disabilities. We appreciate their commitment to promoting services and resources that help people live full, independent lives in their communities.

We’re proud to stand with fellow advocates to ensure these essential services remain visible and accessible for the people and families we serve. Together, we can continue creating opportunities for individuals to thrive at home and in their communities.

This weekend, Massachusetts Mentor Program Director, Ed, represented our team at the 4th Annual Health & Wellness Resource Fair in Woburn, Massachusetts!

The event provided a wonderful opportunity to connect with families, community members, and local organizations. Ed spoke with nearly 30 families interested in learning more about our Adult Family Care (Host Home) program and how Mentors can help individuals with disabilities live fulfilling lives in a family-based setting.

In addition to meeting families, Ed also connected with potential referral and outreach partners, helping build new relationships throughout the community.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth and helped make this event a success. We’re grateful for opportunities like these to share resources, build connections, and support individuals and families across Massachusetts.
