Edgerton Sterling North Book and Film Festival is an annual event that promotes the literacy in children, adults and seniors by introducing new and upcoming authors while also presenting well-known and admired Authors. Mission Statement

The Edgerton Sterling North Book and Film Festival honors the literary legacy of our hometown author, Sterling North; champions literacy and lifelong learning thr

ough the appreciation of literature and film and celebrates and promotes Edgerton’s arts and literary culture. Objectives for 2014

• Fund a scholarship to be awarded to an Edgerton High School senior for the study of literature or journalism

• Create a community book read in conjunction with the National Endowment for the Arts “Big Read”

• Bring a variety of authors and film makers to the community and into the schools

• Retain the Edgerton Sterling North Book and Film Festival as a free event

• Enhance our collaborative relationship with the Edgerton School System and the Arrowhead Library System for the support of literacy and arts in the community

• Develop a year-round, multi-media presence for the Edgerton Sterling North Book and Film Festival
