Securing Our Future

🏡✨ One of our biggest challenges as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization has been acquiring land for the future site of our Edenton Homeboys organization. This space will provide us with a dedicated place to meet and mentor kids in our community.

Our members come from across the country, including South Carolina, Virginia, Georgia, Maryland, New Jersey, and New York, united by our mission to support and uplift Edenton.

Under the leadership of President Robert Eugene Rankins, we’re excited for the future and the possibilities ahead. We are actively seeking donations and grant opportunities to help us secure this land and continue making a positive impact in our community for years to come.

🇺🇸🍽️ Our Memorial Day Cookout and Flashback Celebration was a tremendous success! From it's humble beginnings in 1999 in the backyard of one of our founder & first president, Mr Johnny Bond Sr., with around 500 attendees in 2010, our cookout has grown to welcome 800–900 community members by 2019. 🎉 This year, we enjoyed delicious food, fun games for kids, and a chance to come together for a great cause.

Additionally, as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, our annual event includes a special dance and raffle ticket sales each year to help raise funds for our scholarship program. These funds are dedicated to supporting Chowan County residents & students from other areas pursuing higher education. Your generous donations make a real difference, and we’re grateful for your continued support! 🙌 Thank you so much!

🎉🍔 We had an incredible time at our Annual Memorial Day Cookout & Dance! As a non-profit organization, this year’s event was a huge success, bringing together our community to raise funds for students to attend college. From delicious food to lively dances, it was a weekend filled with joy and purpose. A big thank you to everyone who attended and contributed! 🌟
