What if the biggest barriers to fertility are the ones we aren’t routinely looking for?

In the latest IPPE Grand Rounds Podcast, Dr. Carmel Wiseman, founder of Precision Fertility Care, Precision Fertility Care explores how a personalized, functional medicine approach can uncover hidden factors affecting fertility, pregnancy, and reproductive health.

The casseroles are gone. The flowers have faded. The messages have slowed.

But grief hasn't.

One of the biggest misconceptions about perinatal loss is that the hardest part is immediately after the loss. While those first days are incredibly painful, many parents say the weeks and months that follow can feel even lonelier as the world returns to normal while they continue carrying the weight of their baby's absence.

Support doesn't have an expiration date.

💜 Send the text.
💜 Make the phone call.
💜 Remember their baby's name.
💜 Check in on birthdays, due dates, and anniversaries.
💜 Let them know you haven't forgotten.

Your continued presence can make all the difference.

It's kinda chic to care differently. 🤍

To listen a little closer.
To choose our words with intention.
To understand grief.
To make space for hope and fear to coexist.
To keep learning.
To show up for families when the moment is anything but easy.

Because compassionate, trauma-informed care will always be in style.

Consider this your sign to become IPPE-C. ✨

Every number represents a baby who was deeply loved and a family whose life was forever changed.

An estimated 6.3 million perinatal losses occur every year around the world, highlighting the urgent need for compassionate, evidence-based care for bereaved families.

As healthcare professionals, the way we respond matters. Through education, we can help ensure every family feels seen, supported, and cared for during one of the most difficult moments of their lives.

💙 Seeking support after pregnancy or infant loss can feel overwhelming, especially when you're already carrying so much.

Not all therapists have specialized training in perinatal loss, reproductive trauma, or pregnancy after loss. Asking a few key questions can help you find a provider who understands your experience and can support your healing journey.

Remember: it's okay to ask questions, advocate for your needs, and find a therapist who feels like the right fit.
