📚🎒 Back-to-School success!

Family Village was honored to be part of the Back to School Bash in Chester, bringing together families, healthcare providers, community organizations, and volunteers to support local children as they head into a new school year.

Together, we made a meaningful impact:
✅ Nearly 600 community members attended
✅ 52 children received pediatric care from CHOP and Nemours physicians, including school physicals, sports physicals, and immunizations
✅ 38 children received vision services through the Vision To Learn program
✅ More than 300 backpacks were distributed, along with school supplies, uniforms, and valuable community resources

We are grateful to everyone who helped make this event possible. When community partners come together with a shared purpose, great things can happen for our children and families. 💙

That's why we don't just focus on one challenge or one program. We help connect families to the full range of support they may need, from pregnancy and parenting resources to WIC, housing services, legal aid, and more. Children don't come with instructions or directions, we are here to help you navigate pregnancy and early childhood.

Because when families have access to the right support, everything else becomes a little easier.

🎉 Our World of WIC event may be over, but the fun continues!

Congratulations to our raffle winners, who recently picked up their prizes with Sheila, our Nutrition and Breastfeeding Education Coordinator.

💝 Kaylah won our Baby Shower Gift Basket, packed with baby essentials including burp cloths, a baby rattle, a soft toy, swaddling blankets, and baby books. The basket also included items for mom, such as a Medela double electric breast pump generously donated by Storkpump, a nursing cover, and breastfeeding education and support resources.

🍼 Mayah won our Exclusively Breastfeeding Infant Food Package Basket, featuring infant fruits and vegetable purees, infant meat purees, and infant cereals for exclusively breastfed infants beginning at 6 months.

Congratulations to both winners! 👏
