As a newer, smaller, less known rescue this is a HUGE deal to us.

Because of our community, we are able to give cats in need the second chance they deserve.

Alright guys! Yesterday after work the kitties did get switched around some.

Its raffle time!!!! We are hoping this will help us get to our goal of $2000 for upcoming surgeries, testing kits and vaccines.

We have two awesome raffles happening at one time!!!!

Raffle basket one includes: a crystal guide book, tarot cards, spell jars, a house smudging kit( its a super cool kit, I will be ordering another for myself soon), a cute little black cat sign and a BEAUTIFUL crystal tower. Entries are $5 per entry or 5 entries for $20.

Raffle item two is a BEAUTIFUL hand-made Halloween wreath. Entries are also $5 per entry or 5 entries for $20.

Emotional Post Incoming!!!!!

Today closes our FIRST fiscal year!

Last summer, I never thought we would actually make it this far. What started out kind of jokingly among co-workers (Maggie and myself) became a reality. After lots of late nights filing paperwork and praying it was completely correctly, we set a grand opening date of 10/1/2025.

Over the last year, Second Chance Whiskers has taken in 180 cats, given an additional 20 FVRCP to cats not directly in our care, and TNVR'd 6 cats.

We have had 73 adoptions to date with hopes of many more in the future.

We have meet a ton of new people, we have been to a lot of new places and have done things we never thought we would do.

It is estimated that over the last year we have used 11,000lbs of kitty litter, fed 10,950 cans of wet food and another 5,150lbs of dry food. We have spent just over $35,000 on vet bills and supplies.

All of this has been done without any grants or funding. All of this has been done utilizing personal paychecks, credit cards and donations from YOU GUYS!

To say we could NOT do this without you guys is the 100% truth! If not for your love and generosity, I would probably work a 3rd job 😹 (sorry, had to add a little humor, I was getting teary eyed)

As we close this first year, I just want to say once again.....

THANK YOU FOR HELPING US, HELP THEM!

Here is to many more sleepless nights, tears of joy, tears of sorrow and all the other heart tugging events(joyful and sad) that come each and every day!

Good morning and welcome to Wishlist Wednesday!!!

We are hoping for help with some much needed supplies. We are critically low on Rescue/Kennesol disinfecting solution, gloves, dry kitten food, dry adult food, flea meds, disposable puppy pads, 13gal and 6 gal trash bags.

We would love to have new litter pads for our autoscooping litter boxes, ink for our paperwork printer, and a few more pop up kennels but these are things that can wait if they had too.

Unfortunately, $2 Tuesday was a complete bust😿 That means we still are working towards funding for Marshmellow and Lucky to get their amputations completed. And unfortunately if we have to use our current available credit on supplies, they would have to wait even longer.

So if you happen to be on Amazon or on Chewy and wanted to send stuff our way, we would greatly appreciate it.

Also, if you are able to chip in even a dollar or two towards the vet visits and vaccines needed we would be forever grateful.

PetSmart update! Tomorrow after work some of the kitties located there will be changing places with some from the rescue. So, if you have been waiting to adopt one of these inparticular, this is your sign to head on out there!

And remeber, theres tons of ways to help us, help them!

Adopt: head out to PetSmart and let them know you are interested in a furry friend

Donations: monetary donations are needed big time right now. With over 3k in medical pending, we really need some help!

Volunteers: Its only an hour a day, but for me, that hour is a big deal. Between working FT, being a FT mom and running SCW, that hour sometimes means the difference in if I actually have a chance to sit down to eat or if dinner is junk food out of a paper bag in my car.

Following and Sharing: this helps us continue to grow so we can continue to help.

River is running into $2 Tuesday full speed!!! She knows we need to get some funds built up so we can schedule our two pending amputations.

$2 may not seem like it does much, however, $2 from multiple people is exactly the type of thing that keeps us running.

Thank you Saving Paws Rescue of Florida, Inc for the wheels, the advice and for all the guidance you guys have given us over the past year.

And thank you community for absolutely EVERYTHING! We couldnt do any of this without you guys!!!!
