Pleasant Ridge FFA is excited to now be collecting non perishable food items for our 1st annual Food Drive! We will be accepting donations through December 3rd. If you would like to donate either bring your donations to the PRHS office or Mr. Highfill’s room. Any donation would be appreciated!

Yesterday, we traveled to Silver Lake, KS for NED Greenhand Conference. The freshman learned a little bit about what we do in FFA and what FFA has to offer for them. We would also like to give a big shoutout to our NED Treasurer, Payton Ernzen for teaching them about CDE’s and LDE’s. We would also like to thank the NED officer team for putting this event on!

State convention 2026 recap. Wednesday students got to attend the opportunity fair while Sam Murphy and Sarai Parsons competed at the state level in Employment Skills and Prepared Public Speaking. That evening we attended the opening session of the 98th State FFA convention.

Thursday Payton Ernzen did some networking with the other District Officers from around the state. Then we traveled to Kanequip and the purebred unit to tour and learn more about opportunities that they both offer. Finally that afternoon we did some sight seeing and ended the evening with the district social before heading home. I would call it a success! P.S. Casey’s should sponsor us??????🟨🟦

**UPDATE** The trailer has found a home. Thank you to the Blackard Family!

PRHS welding students have been hard at work this semester. Their capstone project for this year was this beautiful 10ft trailer. They have worked their tails off to get it finished up. And now it could be yours!! With that being said this trailer is looking for a home. The PRHS welding students built this thing from the ground up and let us tell you it’s a tank! Built out of all 3/16in mild steel, this thing will outlast any cheap trailer you buy from the store. Please feel free to contact Mr. Highfill at 913-360-0589 for more details.

Meet our Member of the Year, Haddie Miller!! Haddie truly embodies what an FFA member is. Not only is she actively involved in our community, but she is also very involved in our chapter. From showing up to every community service event to loading the van for livestock and meats, we can always count on her. We can not wait to see what Haddie's bright ☀️ future has to offer!
