We thank all of our members for supporting this wonderful organization that nurtures the children of Talbot County!

Critchlow Adkins Children's Centers

We were honored to attend the ❤Women Who Care Talbot County❤ meeting on Monday evening. Our Development Director, Liz Connelly, gave an update on how the group's collective funding of our yoga program has impacted our students. She also presented special handprint flowers to the founders of Women Who Care, Amanda, Karen, and Michelle.🖐🌹

As several of our staff and board members are members of the giving collective, we were again honored to hear the proposals from the 🌳Chesapeake Multicultural Resource Center, 🎶Easton Choral Arts, and 🌊Shore Rivers, and to vote for the next organization to be funded by this wonderful group of women.

If you are a woman living or working primarily in Talbot County and would like to be a part of this special organization, visit https://100womentalbot.org to learn more!

Women Who Care Talbot County is making a meaningful difference in the important work of Talbot County nonprofits. We began in September 2024 and five meetings later have collectively gifted $78,000, benefiting Talbot Interfaith Shelter, CarePacks, For All Seasons, Foundation of Hope and Critchlow Adkins Children's Centers.

Here's how our group works: We meet three times/year. At each meeting, three Talbot County nonprofits, randomly selected in advance from members' nominations, are invited to attend and make a brief presentation about their organization and how they will use our collective funds if selected. Following the presentations, members vote by ballot for the nonprofit they find most compelling (for members unable to attend in person, they cast their votes in advance). Votes are tallied on the spot and the nonprofit receiving the majority of votes receives $100 from each member (all contributions are 100% eligible for a charitable income tax-deduction).

Our next meeting is Monday, May 12th at the Talbot County Free Library in Easton. 5PM wine & mingling, followed by a one-hour meeting at 5:30PM. The three nonprofits presenting are Chesapeake Multicultural Resource Center, Easton Choral Arts Society, and ShoreRivers. We presently total 175 women and gladly welcome new members. The larger our group, the more we can do! Please visit our website to learn more and join.
