A Touch of Teddy is a 501c3 Nonprofit Organization - founded in honor of Theodore "Teddy" Russell Michalski. Teddy was our firstborn child, who was stillborn in 2018 at 22 weeks gestation. In his memory, we are sending "teddy" bear ornaments to families who have experienced pregnancy/infant loss, free of charge, beginning in the month of October - 2023. Our efforts are all donation based, so the more donations we receive, the more families we are able to send bear ornaments to. Individuals who would like to send a bear to someone who has experienced a loss are asked to make a small monetary donation. Request forms for our loss bear ornaments will open in October.

I am truly sorry, my mama heart hurts over this šŸ„ŗ Every baby matters, every name matters, and I never wanted these families to feel that their babies were overlooked. Today, I want to make sure these sweet babies are honored as they should have been. ā¤ļøšŸ•Šļø

While Iā€™ve been spending the day getting ready for our own little wave of light event, just a reminder that you donā€™t have to be a loss parent to participate. Nor do you have to go to an event. The Wave of Light is a symbol of their light, all across the world, whether you spend the day with loved ones or light your candle from the comfort of your home. All my love to the beautiful families missing their sweet babies today and always.

While we donā€™t offer our beats for free outside of the US - we do still occasionally get requests for our tiny teddies internationally! These places are new this year and it just makes my heart happy thinking Teddy has some friends in such cool places I could only hope to visit one day! šŸ„¹
