This has been the foundation’s message since the beginning. It is the message this mama shared daily with her kids when sending them into the world. In his own understated way, Greyson took these words to heart.

In August 2022, as I was putting away laundry, I saw this action list pinned above Greyson’s desk. I took a picture at the time in a moment of gratitude and relief that just maybe my words were resonating with my strong-willed 12-year-old.

Today would be Greyson’s 16th birthday. In his honor, I ask that you do something kind for someone today. Kindness can spread like wildfire; all it needs is a spark.

The 2025 Feeding Friends campaign has officially concluded!

This week, our elves diligently filled bags straight from Santa’s cupboards. The Santa Snack bags were distributed to 200 children in the East Troy Community School district in collaboration with the East Troy Family Resource Center’s annual Holiday Helper. While a two-week winter break is undoubtedly a wonderful time, it poses challenges for those who depend on school breakfast and lunch. With these bags, we aim to ensure that all bellies are filled and ready to embrace the spirit of a very Merry Christmas.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has supported the Greyson Zess Community Foundation so far. Your support has been nothing short of amazing, overwhelming, and deeply emotional.

We are thrilled to announce the successful conclusion of the Feeding Friends campaign! Thanks to the amazing generosity of our community and the match from our Foundation, we raised $6,525!

We are already using these funds to make a difference. This weekend, 30 families currently facing food insecurity will receive community battle bags, a collaborative effort in conjunction with the East Troy Family Community Resource Center and the East Troy Community School District.

We are so grateful for your incredible support, and are committed to continuing this work and ensuring that more families receive the help they need in the coming weeks. Thank you for your overwhelming support and dedication to making a difference in the lives of our neighbors.

We are blown away once again by our community’s support! In just over 24 hours, the Feeding Friends campaign has raised $2725! Our original goal was $800 because with our 100% match, we would be able to fund 20 Community Battle Bags - which was our overall goal. Welp, you all knocked that out of the park!

We will keep the campaign open until November 10, as originally planned. However, our Foundation match will cap at $3000. We have other projects in the queue, and could not have anticipated the generosity that has been shown. To this point - we simply want to be honest and transparent.

Please note: All funds raised over $3000 will still go towards fighting food insecurity in the East Troy community. Any and all help to this important cause is greatly appreciated.

The Greyson Zess Community Impact Foundation is kicking off November by supporting the East Troy Family and Community Resource Center (ETFCRC) in an effort to combat hunger within our community.

One of Greyson's love languages was food. He loved a full belly and ensuring those around him had the same comfort. As we enter a holiday season impacted not only by inflation, but also the uncertainty of continued support benefits for many, the Foundation is looking to assist our community members affected.

The ETFCRC, partnered with the East Troy Community School District, are creating Community Battle Bags for those facing food insecurity. This will provide shelf stable items, offering several meals and snacks. These bags will be available in addition to the one visit per month our community members can make to the East Troy Food Pantry.

All donations received to our Feeding Friends Campaign will be matched 100% by the Greyson Zess Community Impact Foundation to help fund the Community Battle Bags. The Feeding Friends campaign will be open November 1 through November 10.

We believe food is not a luxury, but a comfort deserved by all.
