PEAL's Health Matters Mini-Conference, Supporting Families of Children with Disabilities and Special Health Care Needs —Thursday, March 23rd from 9-3, Wyndham Lancaster (PA) Resort and Convention Center

This conference is free for all to attend, with lunch included! Register: https://www.pealcenter.org/health_matters_march/

Our agenda provides a wealth of information for families and professionals, including the opportunity to hear Guy Stevens speak about inclusive practices in school for students with disabilities who have behavioral concerns and to hear Al Condeluci talk about the “how” of ensuring that individuals with disabilities successfully engage with peers and community, and form friendships.

Participants will also receive vital information from Marissa LaWall, JD from the PA Health Law Project. She will talk about waiver eligibility and access to health and behavioral services, so important during these times of changing access guidelines.

Community organizations and providers will have time set aside for them to speak to the group about the services they provide in your area!

Finally, the day will wrap up with the opportunity for all present to think about the Importance of Self-Care with Shelby Witmer, Family and Child Services Coordinator from Mental Health America of Lancaster County.
