Hello Riverwood neighbors! It's that time of year for Riverwood's Annual Thanksgiving Food Drive! There will be a bin located at the mailboxes to collect food donations for the Thurston County Food Bank's Thanksgiving baskets. They plan to come pick the bin back up on Nov 17th and we are hoping to fill it up again this year! This is an especially hard time for many families in need so I have attached a list of items needed specifically for the Thanksgiving baskets... but, ANY and ALL donations are greatly appreciated as well. Please be mindful of items that may attract animals and weather that could impact packaging integrity. Canned items work best and please place items in plastic bag for easy transfer and transport

Dont forget, it all starts at 5pm tonight and goes right through our neighborhood! What an amazing event and we are so lucky to have it at our front doors, so lets give the welcoming support of Riverwood... Please limit travel in and out of our entrances during this time if possible and have cars parked in driveways so it leaves plenty of safe road room for the parade vehicles and pedestrians. Please see parade route and enjoy!

Friendly reminder, the The Thurston County Food Bank will be picking up our donation bin this Monday the 18th. The bin could really use your help right now and is pretty low (see pic). Any donation is greatly appreciated and please be mindful of perishables and animals. Hoping our amazing neighbors can send this bin back full again this year. Thank you to all that have already donated!

Mark your calendars! The East Olympia Tractor parade will once again be visiting our Riverwood neighborhood! This is such a fun family event and we are so lucky to have it at our front doors! More info to follow!

There are TWO plastic bins located at the mailboxes to collect food donations for the Thurston County Food Bank's Thanksgiving baskets. They plan to come pick them back up on Nov 18th and we are hoping to fill it up BOTH of them this year! Inflation has affected us all, but especially for many families in need this year. I have attached a list of items in need specifically for the Thanksgiving baskets, but ANY and ALL donations are greatly appreciated as well! Just a friendly reminder: Don't forget... there are only a couple more days to donate any food items to the Thurston County Food Bank. They will pick up on Wednesday Nov 15th! The blue collection bins are located at the mailboxes and are in need of filling. Please place your donated goods in plastic bag and be mindful of items that could attract animals.
