Since we decided to temporarily close, I have been torn about this page. I made it and then did not have the time to do anything more. The lack of time for the page is the same reason for closing the rescue....we want to focus on our large family and many goals and dreams. One MAJOR factor is the health of the remaining cats in our care. Despite precautions, calicivirus took hold in our household. Stomatitus is a widely misunderstood disease. Even veterinarians seem to have varying opinions on it, and I have found many to be inexperienced in treating it. we decided about a year ago to let the cats we have live out their lives, without exposing any other cats to this nasty disease. so no more rescues in no more personal pets until they have all died of old age. when my children are grown and all of the cats are gone, we will revisit rescue at that time. it could be a long wait
