Yesterday we went to Potter Park Zoo and participated in the Lansing River and River Trail Cleanup. We were tasked with beautifying Kruger's Landing. If you look through the photos you'll see the effort we placed into removing invasive species and spreading wood chips around the pine trees.
Kruger's Landing, the rest of the river, and the river trail look great now. We want to thank Michigan Waterways Stewards for allowing us to help at this amazing event, as well as the Michigan State Society of Women Engineers (SWE) for coming out to help us.
Afterward, we went to the zoo as part of the event and loved walking around and seeing all of the animals.
