Today's SGN/ Some Great News to Report. Dick may not be listed in the Guinness Book of World Records, but he's still #1 in our Book! Dedicated to the community as a town lifeguard, a member of the Montauk F/D & EMS, and, of course, our most beloved EHVOR member & 1st responder! https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1CXYgqaGxJ/

❤️‍🔥🌊 RED DEVIL SWIM 2026 🌊❤️‍🔥
We want to send a HUGE thank you to everyone who helped make this year’s Red Devil Swim such a success.
To every swimmer who showed up and took on the water, every volunteer who helped make the day run smoothly, every sponsor and donor who supported this event, and every family member, friend, and spectator who came out to cheer - thank you.
The Red Devil Swim is more than just a swim. It’s a day that brings our community together, and we are incredibly grateful for everyone who continues to support Ocean Rescue and make this tradition possible.

Growing the next generation of lifeguards through outreach programs & character education programs like the Little Nippers & Jr Lifeguard summer programs, not only do these EHTown Rec programs help waterproof our children & families, they also create a community of caring citizens , ensures safer beaches for generations to come, and they help spark life long friendships.

It is with great sadness that our EHVOR family shares the loss of a dear friend, valued auxiliary member, and our dedicated EMS liaison and CPR instructor, Scott Barter.
Scott will be remembered for his generosity, commitment, and the countless hours he devoted to our organization. He played a vital role in organizing our annual CPR recertifications, always ensuring that every member was up to date, confident, and well prepared for the season ahead.
At drills and training sessions, Scott was a constant and reassuring presence, always ready to lend a hand and provide guidance with EMS support. His knowledge, reliability, and willingness to help others made a lasting impact on everyone he worked with.
Above all, Scott will be remembered for his dedicated and selfless service to the East Hampton community. His contributions made a difference in the lives of many, and his absence will be deeply felt.
We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. 🕊️
