THE SENTENCING OF CODY ROBERTS THE WOLF KILLER, THAT IS A SLAP ON THE WRIST, CAME DOWN YESTERDAY...and in handing down the sentence at a Sublette County courtroom, in Wyoming, Judge Richard Lavery told Cody Roberts... "It (killing wolves) can't be done in a cruel manner, it's not that you captured a wolf, it's what happened after...the keeping of the animal was cruel, that was the crime"...showing that the judge did not see the killing of a 9 month wolf as the problem, and that alone needs to change...Roberts also apologized in court in March, expressing regret to the judge and his family, but that apology was part of the plea proceedings before the final sentencing...before the plea in March, a grand jury had convened in July 2025, handing down the felony indictment that set the case in motion...the crime happened in February 2024 when Cody Roberts ran down the wolf pup with a snowmobile in Sublette County, Wyoming, and brought the injured wolf into the Green River Bar...then wolf torturer Roberts and other people took photos and terrorized the wolf pup before she was taken outside and shot...he initially only got a $250 fine for illegal possession of wildlife from the Wyoming Game and Fish Commission, which sparked global outrage...THE KILLING OF ANIMALS SHOULD NOW BE UNACCEPTABLE, UNLESS IN SELF-DEFENSE, IT IS TIME WE SHIFT TO A VEGAN PARADIGM -- Animal Freedom Fighter

💔🐾 Luna’s Story — And Why We Said Yes When Others Said No 🐾💔

Luna is a 6-year-old Schnauzer whose owner passed away. She suddenly found herself without a family and in need of help.

We were told she likely has a liver shunt, a serious condition that requires very expensive specialized surgery.

Many rescues could not take on the cost.

We said yes.

Because that’s what we do.

Yesterday, our vet completed bloodwork, and the results confirmed that Luna does have a liver shunt. It is heartbreaking — but also a step forward. Now we know exactly what we are facing, and we can begin planning her treatment.

It is honestly a miracle that she is still alive without having had surgery yet. Liver shunts can be life-threatening, especially as dogs get older. Luna has been quietly surviving with this condition — and now she finally has a team fighting for her.

She deserves a chance at a healthy future.

We stepped up when no one else would. Now we need help to give her the surgery and care she needs.

Hi everyone...first time poster, long time lurker. I am sorry for the long essay but it was necessary to capture some of the essence of what I endured.
Today, the 30th of September, I turned 50. An extraordinary milestone birthday for me. Reason being my entire life has been plagued with trauma and tragedy. I feel blessed to have made it this far. I have come close to dying over 15 times and each time I have whispered to death "not today."
To give you some examples...I was mugged at knifepoint by 3 guys while travelling on a bus from work. Another time, the bus I was in caught on fire. When my son was 6 months old the mini bus we were travelling in was sprayed with bullets from a rival taxi gang. Thankfully, nobody was hit. Another time I went out with my cousin and her friend's ex boyfriend riddled our car with bullets. While at work, 6 armed men broke into the company I worked for. I thought we were all going to die. God was with us and there were no fatalities.
When I was 40, I was admitted to hospital for pneumonia and accidentally put into a TB ward and I contracted a rare strain of TB. I lay in that hospital for a week not receiving any kind of treatment and just feeling my life slowly draining away. I gathered enough strength to ask the doctor about why I was not receiving treatment and he said he did not know what was wrong with me. I then asked why no tests were done to determine what was wrong snd he replied that the machine was broken. When I enquired about machine repairs he gave me a date over 6 weeks away. I responded that he and I both knew I would not last the week. He sent me to another hospital to do the test. The doctor there declared me unstable and admitted me to that hospital which was a blessing and saved my life. The bronchoscopy was perfomed two weeks later and I flatlined. I was resuscitated and sent to ICU. Family members were called and told there was no hope and if I did survive by some miracle then I would not have a good quality of life. After 3 days I woke up and my memory, speech and mobility was tested and I was fine. Doctors were shocked. The test was repeated a week later because it had to be stopped when I flatlined and I barely survived the second time. Turns out I had TB and I was put on treatment. Unfortunately for me, I suffered liver failure a few times. Turns out my liver could not handle the Rifampicin tablet. After continuous liver failure and on the verge of needing a transplant I was taken off that medication and put on milder treatment. Instead of the usual 3 to 6 months I was on a 19 month course of treatment and taking 28 tablets a day. I did survive but because it took so long to diagnose and treat me, the TB attacked my thyroid gland, my lungs and my spine. I spent 3 months in hospital and those were dark days. I am now on chronic medication and every day is a struggle.
My life will never be the same again but I am alive. My life used to be very challenging but for the last few years I have been a dull homebody. I lost my mother at age 51 to Lupus and my dad at 71 to Alzheimers. I have had more than my fair share of troubles and I am also a survivor of domestic abuse. So for me, turning 50 is indeed a miracle. I was born a warrior. I know my battles are not over yet. I wait for the next round.

I am writing to seek guidance regarding a sensitive rehoming situation. My sister-in-law recently passed away unexpectedly, leaving behind her 6-year-old purebred Schnauzer, Luna.

Luna is currently in Oak Park, Michigan. She has always been the only pet in her household and is understandably heartbroken. We are looking for the right environment to help her transition into a loving new home. While we would be willing to bring her to our home in Rhode Island, we currently have six dogs of various breeds, and I do not believe she would thrive in such a busy environment.

As the founder of Hearts for Animals Sanctuary, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, I am committed to finding the best possible outcome for her. I will also be reaching out via Facebook, but I would appreciate any help or advice you can provide.

I can be reached via email or at 401-297-6361. Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Kind regards,
