Grants in action!

A delicious abundance of fruits and veggies today at the Friend to Friend Food Pantry made possible by a collaboration of our caring community partners. Thank you to Oxen Hill Farm, CSA, the East Granby Congregational Church Garden Team (made more fruitful this year though a grant from the East Granby Greater Together Community Fund (part of the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving) and Big Y World Class Market.

Grant recipients are doing great things!

East Granby Land Trust received a grant from the Greater Together Community Fund at Hartford Foundation to design and plan a path and bridge from Seymour School through the woods behind the soccer fields.
This planning and ex*****on will take place over the next several years as we gather funds and work with the town on completing this project.
People will then be able to walk from the park to the school or vice versa. Connecting after school program opportunities, school use of Granbrook facilities, and a beautiful 1/2 mile walking path with farm and river views for all to enjoy.
This map is the first small step of our project.
