HOW LONG HAVE WE HAD THE ROYCROFT-STYLE TRASH CANS?...The Historian's Office was recently asked about the origin of the Roycroft-style trash receptacles on Main Street. In our newspaper archives we were able to find this 2002 newspaper clipping, which explains how they came to be.

Expect tales of covert operations, enemy deception, and real-world spycraft that feel straight out of a thriller.

A little Rotary history to share with our community 🗞️

Fellow Rotarian Steve Harts recently uncovered this amazing newspaper clipping from 1954, celebrating the founding of the East Aurora Rotary Club. Nearly 70+ years later, our club is still going strong, rooted in service, fellowship, and community pride ❤️

While we no longer meet at the Circle Inn, the spirit of Rotary lives on. Today, we gather every Tuesday morning from 7:30–8:30am at the Town of Aurora Senior Citizen Center Media Library, welcoming engaging speakers from across our community and working together to make a meaningful local impact 🤝

Quiz Format
4 rounds of quiz questions, each team fills out an answer sheet as questions are read, each round and correct answers are tallied for points, other activity sheets at the table with more trivia, picture quiz, etc, there is no "buzzing in" or rewards for speed, all answers must be written by the end of the round to receive points, no cell phone help!

50/50 & Bonus points will be available between rounds - Bring $1's!

Congratulations to STEVE TAYLOR of Forestville, NY on winning the East Aurora Rotary Club Bubble Hockey Raffle and taking home an incredible Super Chexx Pro bubble hockey game, featuring a classic faceoff between the Buffalo Sabres and the Toronto Maple Leafs.
