Community Voices Matter!

Land use decisions affect everyone who lives in and nearby Eagle.

Public input is not an obstacle to development , it is a requirement of good governance.

Residents bring real life experience experience. They know the traffic patterns, safety concerns, and neighborhood impacts that don’t always show up on paper.

Idaho Wildlife & Environment

Eagle sits within an active wildlife corridor supporting eagles, raptors, pronghorn, and migratory species.

Responsible development requires:
-Baseline wildlife studies
-Transparent impact analysis
-Meaningful mitigation, not assumptions
-Environmental review is not anti-growth. It is part of smart growth — ensuring development today does not create irreversible harm tomorrow.

The Comprehensive Plan is not a suggestion.

It is the city’s adopted blueprint for growth.

It reflects years of public input, technical review, and long term vision for Eagle’s future. Amending it should be rare, justified, and clearly beneficial to the community as a whole.
When a proposal requires changing the Plan to accommodate it, residents have a right to ask whether that proposal aligns with Eagle’s goals or conflicts with them.

Location Matters!

Location matters just as much as development itself.

Hill Road and Highway 55 already experience congestion and safety concerns.
Any major commercial project at this intersection must clearly demonstrate that it improves conditions for residents, commuters, and emergency services. Not worsening them.

Responsible planning evaluates real world impacts, not just theoretical models.
Smart growth starts with the right project in the right place.

What does responsible growth actually mean?

It means development that:
- Complies with the Comprehensive Plan

-Matches the intended land-use designation

-Protects traffic safety and emergency access

-Considers wildlife corridors and environmental impacts

-Respects nearby neighborhoods

When a project requires a Comprehensive Plan amendment to proceed, it raises the question:
Why doesn’t the project fit as proposed?
That question deserves careful public review.

Welcome to the Eagle Coalition for Responsible Development. We are a community group committed to ensuring growth in Eagle, Idaho is safe, compatible, and aligned with the city's long term vision.

We support development that fits existing plans, protects neighborhood safety, and respects Eagle's character. We oppose development that requires rewriting those plans to force incompatible projects into place.

Our focus is simple:
Smart Growth Safe Neighborhoods
