We recently had the honor of creating and presenting a handcrafted wood flag in memory of Marine Larry Lacanlale, a beloved father, grandfather, and friend whose courage and spirit continue to inspire all who knew him.

Decorated with the Purple Heart, Larry’s service reflects courage, humility, and honor. Though the war left its scars, his strength, humor, and love never wavered. His legacy lives on in the hearts of his family and those he touched, a true reminder of resilience and sacrifice.

May this flag serve as a lasting symbol of the lives he impacted, the freedoms he protected, and the legacy he forged. His sacrifices will never be forgotten.

What an incredible night honoring Colonel Jeffrey S. Crapo, U.S. Army (Ret.) — a man whose life has been defined by service, sacrifice, and leadership. From the front lines of combat to the highest levels of military strategy, Col. Crapo has led with integrity, mentored with heart, and protected our freedoms with unwavering courage.

It was a true privilege to present him with a handcrafted flag from Gifts of Valor — a small token of appreciation for a lifetime of dedication to our country.

I recently had the honor of presenting one of my handcrafted flags to Mark, who served 22 years as a Technical Sergeant in the United States Air Force.

I not only wanted to recognize Mark for what he’s done for our country, but also for who he is He’s a loyal friend and trusted business mentor. I hope you always feel honored and respected for the role you played, both in uniform and in the lives of those you’ve impacted since. This flag is a small symbol of deep gratitude.

I recently handcrafted this Pacific and Eastern curly maple American Flag to honor those that served. On the back of the union it says “Freedom has never been free. It has always come at the cost of brave souls who stood the line, served with honor, and laid down their lives so others could live free. This flag is a symbol of their sacrifice, a reminder that liberty exists today because of the courage, commitment, and blood of heroes. May we never take it for granted, and may we always remember the price that was paid”.

It was an absolute honor to present a handcrafted flag to Bob, a man who dedicated his life to protecting our nation as a Secret Service Agent and later with Homeland Security.

One of the highlights of Bob’s distinguished career was serving on Vice President George H. W. Bush’s protective detail—an experience that speaks volumes about his integrity, professionalism, and commitment to duty.

Getting to know Bob and hearing his story was a privilege. His legacy is a reminder of the quiet heroes who serve behind the scenes to keep our country safe.

On the 28th of February, after 28 years of dedicated service to the residents of Eagle Point and Jackson County, Senior Officer Denny Hoschler retired. His commitment to protecting and serving our community began as a volunteer reserve police officer for eight years before being hired full-time in 2005.

To recognize his unwavering dedication and demonstration of valor, we proudly presented him with a handcrafted wood flag—our way of expressing gratitude for his service and sacrifice.

As he hangs up the duty belt and steps into retirement, we thank Sr. Officer Hoschler for his years of service and wish him all the best in this next chapter.
