It's amazing how much can get accomplished with helping hands and creative minds. Still some to do but the end is in sight.

The sidewalk is also getting finished.

Now we need lots of visitors to help make it feel like the history of Eagle Bend is appreciated.

Some news from the museum. Thanks to Kurt Nelson we have a Jerome Ehnes painting. I personally didn't know him, but lots of people did and felt this display wouldn't be complete without one.

One of the gals had purchased some boxes of quilt material which was already cut into strips. So, she put them together. They really turned out well. During Eagle Bend days we will have them on display and anyone can give a $5 donation and we'll put your name in the drawing.

And the sidewalk is getting completed!! So exciting.

Hoping to see lots of visitors soon.

Our new to us china hutch arrived and it didn't take long to fill up. A few more adjustments and switching around. However it fits in perfectly.

We're even adding some things to look at while in the bathroom. My favorite place to read!

The artist's wall is taking shape as are a few more walls that are just crying to be noticed. Just need someone who can put it all together. Annette Seiling is amazing!!

Haven't posted for a while. Sorry. Trying to get things organized before May 1st. Here are some pictures of a few projects and displays in the works. I'd like to thank all of those who have shown up with willing hands, ideas, strong backs and the excitement in this project.

We have been doing some renovations at the museum and that is now complete on the inside. A handicapped sidewalk will be completed when the ground thaws. So excited with the outcome!! Now we can get it back to looking like a museum!! Our goal is to be open May 1st, displaying local artists, past and present plus honoring our veterans. If anyone has things they would like to donate please contact me.

Things are getting done at the museum. Thank you to Jeremy Wegner Construction Co. What a great job. A few more things to finish and we can start to put our displays together. Our plan is to be open again in May and have some exciting displays. We'll keep you posted. We appreciate the support we've had from the Eagle Bend community. This is your town, let's show off it's past and heritage.

We had a crew at the museum today and got some things moved and relocated. The remodel will begin on Wednesday and can't wait to see the end project. The 1st stage is the new front door and wall (with a small door) between the library and museum to allow us to be open regularly. Then the storage/research room where the newspapers were moved today. So exciting!! Can't wait to be able to display more of our donated items. Still looking for additional funds for the storage area, so donations appreciated.

How fortunate we are that the City of Eagle Bend built this great space for us to use. Now we're making a few "tweaks".

We're still cleaning out at the storage area and finding some interesting items that would be more fun if we could display them to make them more available to the public.

We have gotten the approval and funds for the remodel for a front door. Plus a wall to enable us to be open more than just on Saturday mornings.

Now we are wanting to update our display areas. In need of additional mannequins, updating the store room, entry rugs, etc.

We will be sending out letters to alumni to ask for donations toward this project. And if you don't get one, you can still send us $$ 😉
