What a fun night celebrating the season with our anglers and families! We enjoyed some wings and great conversation, shared fishing stories and handed out trophies and prizes. Thank you to all of our sponsors for making nights like this and a season full of opportunities for our anglers possible—with more fishing to come this Sunday on the Mississippi!

Wind and whitecaps didn’t stop our anglers from enjoying a day on White Bear Lake with professional guide Jim Newton of Youth Fishing Guide Minnesota! Jim got them on a variety of fish while sharing tips on knots, lures and fishing techniques, with plenty of laughs and stories. Team members had the opportunity to sign up for two hour sessions throughout the day to learn and fish with Jim. A huge thank you to Jim for sharing his knowledge and to our awesome sponsors for making this opportunity possible for our team!

What a weekend at the Minnesota BASS Nation High School State Championship on Leech Lake. Saturday brought tough, windy conditions, but our anglers battled through two long days on the water against some of the best high school teams in the state. Diederich and Hansen finished in the top third, while Boyd and Silgen also put together a strong finish, placing ahead of many talented teams from across Minnesota. Boyd even made the middle-of-the-night drive to Leech Lake after playing in a football game Friday night. Both teams represented Eagan extremely well, and their performance was an incredible way to cap off a great season for Eagan Fishing. A huge thank you as well to all of our boat captains, friends, families and sponsors who supported our anglers throughout the season and helped make it all possible!

Good luck to Diederich/Hansen and Boyd/Silgen as they compete this weekend in the two-day Minnesota Junior BASS Nation High School State Championships on Leech Lake! Both teams have put in a ton of time and work on the water this season, and they’ve earned the opportunity to compete against the best teams in the state. We couldn’t be prouder to have them representing Eagan. Go Wildcats!

What a week for Eagan Fishing! Hansen and Diederich became the very first team in program history to qualify for and fish in the prestigious SATT Tournament of Champions, netting a full bag in a highly competitive field of 100 boats. Wisniewski and Martinson took second at MNYFO and reeled in Big Bass with a 5 pound monster. Boyd and Silgen also finished second at regional qualifiers, punching their ticket to the State Championships in September on Leech Lake. Big shoutout to Ross, who stepped up to sub for Silgen along the way. That is some awesome teamwork. Go Wildcats!
