Once again Old Glory flies above the war memorial near the old depot. DWC supplied the flag and flag pole kit as part of our celebration of America’s 250th. Special thanks to DWC Vice President Chrystle Haacke for organizing the installation and to the Dwight Village workers who put it up for us.

Today the members of Dwight Woman's Club grieve the loss of long time member Theresa McNamara. Theresa was very active in DWC for nearly 50 years. She loved helping her community and will be greatly missed.

If the warm weather has you thinking of spring gardens, stop by the library. We have more plant cuttings!!! Now is the perfect time to start rooting them for spring. These plants do well indoors and outdoors. We have Coleus which adds beautiful colors to potted arrangements. We also have Purple Hearts. These will turn a deep purple color and get little Purple Heart shaped flowers. The Purple Heart doesn’t need a lot of sun. It does well in pots under trees or in shadier spots. They are located at the main desk, while supplies last.

We had a wonderful evening together as we kicked off 2026. Those attending played an icebreaker game to begin the evening. Then we partook of an amazing baked potato bar, complete with chili, broccoli, and all the fixings. We followed the meal up with homemade desserts. The evening ended with a short meeting. We invite all women of Dwight to attend our next meeting on the 2nd Tuesday of February at 6 pm in the library’s meeting room.
