We had troop 909 performing a work project and getting service hours on on May 2nd 2026. It was the first time I had mowed this year and the grass was tall! there is a lot of debris from the grass that needs to be picked up if any adults want to run the grass sweeper out there be my guest.

the belt broke on the yellow tractor so mowing is not possible. I could use some folks with w**d eaters to beat back the shrubs and we have a lot of wood that needs to get split as well.

If you have fallen trees that have been cut up and need to get rid of them bring them out to MM and we will split and use it for firewood.

Please I need someone to jack up the cabin and shim it with 2x4's etc as it is sinking on one side.

also I need the steps replaced on the lower deck if anyone has those skills or wood laying around that would be great!

If you want to get out there with your unit- get in touch with me, It must be a scout outing as I do not carry insurance on the property- you are covered by BSA if you file it as a scout outing. I cant take just anyone as you will not be covered by BSA insurance if you are there with your buddies. Scout Units only on filed BSA outings.

Suggested donation is $10 per person. This covers getting the honeybuckets pumped out and cleaned- Which costs $160 each time I do it. That doesnt leave a lot for other things like fuel for the bbq's and mowers/generators. Any help is appreciated.

If your unit is feeling ambitious or you need an Eagle Project idea here are the current service projects needed:

1- The decks of the cabin need to be inspected for safety and repaired as needed. (Seeking Donations)

2- The steps leading up to the lower deck need to be replaced/repaired. (Seeking Donations)

3- The cabin needs someone to crawl underneath it and jack it up then reinforce it as it is sinking on one side.

4- Trail maintenance is needed.

5- The bridges need removal and replacement. (Seeking Donations)

If you would like to schedule an outing or work party at MM, please contact Miguel Monroe 206-910-6429 to schedule.

The requirements are as follows:
1- You must file a permit with the scout office so your outing is an official scout outing. This protects me and your unit in case an accident occurs.

2- MM runs on your donations. The suggested donation is currently $10 per person. I accept checks, Venmo, Paypal, Cashapp, or Zelle. Your donations cover fuel for the maintenance and pumping out the Honey Buckets. Any additional donation is very much appreciated and goes back into the property to cover much needed repairs and maintenance.

3- Please leave MM in better condition than you found it. Bring your own trash bags, and pack out your trash. I suggest bringing your own propane tanks for the BBQ's. Please pick up any deadfall you encounter on the roads and lawns.

4- Any and all water activities require a life jacket! There are plenty on site, wear one!

5- The bridges are in a state of disrepair and border on dangerous. Probably better to stay off them to avoid an unintentional plunge into the water.
