General information
We know that climate change is one of the greatest challenges the planet’s ever faced. Here in New Hampshire, we’re facing the devastating loss of tree species, fish species, coastal areas, and ski season days if action isn’t taken immediately. This December, world leaders are meeting at the UN climate talks in Paris to create a global agreement to cut the greenhouse gases driving climate change. There’s a lot at stake and this deal will only be successful if the US leads the way for other countries to follow. We need to demand that President Obama and other world leaders take climate action now by committing to a strong agreement in Paris to create a clean-energy future for the world. We are doing this by gathering the support of millions of students across more than 50 college campuses to show President Obama that he should be a leader on climate action in Paris. This campaign involves gathering petition signatures and photo petitions from students, holding major visibility events on campuses, and educating students on the urgency of the issue.
