Durham Beekeepers We meet every third Tuesday of the month at 7 pm in Durham. We have an educational speaker each month and an open discussion.

We also have a teaching apiary at Duke Campus Farm where we help beekeepers gain hands on skills for successful beekeeping.

Thanks to all who came out the Duke Campus Farm to inspect the DCBA colonies! We had several first time beeks come out to get hands on experience inspecting honey bee colonies. Topic at Bee School tonight with 48 students and four instructors was Honeybee Nutrition. We had so many excellent questions and a great conversation about the ways beekeepers help honeybee colonies survive and thrive. Our focus was to help new beekeepers prepare for their first year of keeping bees. Share your recommendations about feeders, feeding and how to survive the dearth.
