Hope Animal Rescue is an all-volunteer run 501(c)(3) foster-based rescue dedicated to saving the lives of dogs in NC. We take in and rehabilitate dogs that need help the most, including those with medical and behavioral
needs, seniors, and breeds that are discriminated against. Hope Animal Rescue is 100% donor supported. Federal Tax ID #: 46-1902478

Meet your new favorite little sidekick 🧈Butter🧈
He is a lovable goofball with a huge personality packed into a tiny body. He’s equal parts playful puppy and professional napper—happy to zoom around outside, then curl up for a well-earned snooze.

He is incredibly affectionate and would happily spend all day close to his people. His preferred mode of transportation? Being carried over your shoulder, naturally—although he may use the opportunity to attempt a tiny mountain-climbing expedition onto your head. Consider yourself warned.

This sweet boy is still young and learning the ropes, but he is off to a great start:
💛He is making great progress with potty training.
💛Crate training is a work in progress, as it often is with puppies, but he is doing well so far
💛He has done nicely meeting other dogs so far and he currently ignores the cats in his foster home

This silly, snuggly little guy seems like he could fit beautifully into many types of homes. He would love adopters ready to continue his puppy training, give him plenty of affection and playtime, and appreciate having a tiny shadow with a big sense of humor by their side.

Meet Cookie! 🍪🐾

This little sweetheart is every bit as delightful as her name! Cookie is an affectionate, playful pup who absolutely adores her people. Call her name and she comes running, always eager to be part of whatever you’re doing.

She’s wonderful with kids, gets along beautifully with her foster family’s two dogs, and has the most hilarious little prancing dance when she’s feeling extra playful. Picture a tiny, joyful goat bouncing around, and you’ve got Cookie!

She’s also getting to know the resident cats. She’s fascinated by them but responds well to redirection when they’re not in the mood for puppy attention.

And when the fun winds down? Cookie is all about the snuggles. She loves being close, soaking up affection, and curling up with her favorite humans.

With her sweet nature, goofy personality, and endless charm, Cookie is ready to bring a whole lot of love and laughter to her forever family ❤️

Meet Reba ✨🐾 She is one of the sweetest dogs you’ll ever meet. The second she sees you, her whole body wiggles, and she wants to say hi to everyone. She is also a snuffle mat and puzzle toy girl through and through, a certified belly rub enthusiast (she’ll flop over the second you reach for her), and she will love you forever if you hand her a yak chew. Reba loves being outside and can happily entertain herself in a yard.

In true hound nature, Reba follows her nose everywhere. She loves to stop, sniff, and observe everything, so build in extra time on walks! She can also be nervous, and she’s still working on socializing and adjusting to new sounds, sights, and things in the world. She will do best with an adopter who gives her time and patience to explore the things she want and to build confidence.

She is a work in progress, and that’s because she’s a puppy! she’s still figuring out the world and how to be a dog, so she needs an adopter who’s up for some training and patience. Join Hope Animal Rescue and The Velvet Hippo Bar & Lounge and help us celebrate our favorite blocky headed dogs in honor of Pitbull Awareness Month! It’s sure to be a pittie good time 😉

Prior to joining Hope last week these 5 girls + 1 boy were in the shelter since they were just 2 weeks old, but you’d never guess it from their spunky personalities and playful spirits!

Say hello to Hank aka Hank the Tank aka Hankee Doodle 😍

Hank had a tough start to life, but he hasn’t let that get him down. He was found as a stray, covered in ticks. He then spent several months in a shelter, where he struggled with the constant noise and was not able to gain weight. Now, in his foster home, he is thriving.

Hank is active and playful. He would love a home where he can get lots of exercise. He loves to go on walks, and he is already great on leash. He also prefers to have lots of toys to chew on. After a long walk or play session, Hank loves to snuggle on the couch with his people. He will also sneak a kiss if you let him.

Hank is very food motivated and eager to learn new skills. He is learning to greet new friends politely, and his manners are getting better by the day. He is house-trained, and does great in his crate.

Hank is a friend to all, and is excited to greet new people. He also does well with other dogs, big and small. He would be happy with a doggy sibling, but he would also enjoy being your one and only.
