💚One thing we know to be true is that mental illness is real and the stigma around having a mental illness is still prevalent in our society today. But we are hoping to be a part of the change in creating more open spaces for people to be vulnerable about their mental health. In our own personal journeys towards healing and sobriety, we have suffered from depression, anxiety, bipolar issues, PTSD, panic attacks, negative self talk, suicidal ideation, paranoia, and many other issues that left us paralyzed at one point in our lives. We are not ashamed of sharing that and you should not be either! Your mental health matters to us! If you are suffering from a mental illness, do know that you are not alone. 💚

For those that have someone they love suffering from a mental illness please know that they are not asking you to save them ! Most of the time those with mental illness do not have the words to communicate exactly how they are feeling and each day or moment can be a different experience. We just want to be SEEN as more than just our diagnoses or our mental afflictions. Most of the time we just need to sit SILENT beside someone and just cry or just talk it out without getting an immediate reaction to just suck it up or move forward. And sometimes it’s just the small things of a hug, genuine pat on the back, or a simple text message that shows you can be patient with them as they are ENDURING…..

Let’s be more open about our mental illnesses, so that one day someone can comfortably say to the next person “ I suffer from depression and anxiety and most days I feel alone”.. and the other person will say, I do too….💚 🌸✍️

You have to remain SOBER in order to say NO to your flesh desires.

RELAPSE aka “going back to the streets” aka returning back to that toxic friendship or relationship, substance, drug, lustful thinking, gambling, compulsive shopping, etc. begins DAYs before the actual doing. The minute you find yourself comfortable with your growth, you are left with an idle mind in which the devil/negativity can now takeover and OVERRIDE your nervous system. This leaves you defenseless, anxious, craving excitement and desiring an escape from REALity! And so you go back……..🥹🥹

It’s not okay but as a believer of the holy one, of a God who constantly saves us—-it’s going to be okay!

Here is a prayer for you.

Prayer:
Lord, I repent. I am a sinner. Let your grace be sufficient for me. Give me the discernment necessary to move forward in recovery. I want to lean on you more and to know that even despite my mistakes - you will never foresake me! Teach me to continue to turn from my ways amd follow the path of righteousnesses.
Amen
