As the weather warms, people are more likely to attend social gatherings. We'd like to remind you that driving impaired is considered a misdemeanor that can carry jail time and a court fine of up to $1,000, but the cost can be so much more.

Changes to your driving record, attorney fees, and missed work are just a few other financial impacts of drunk driving. It's not worth the risk to drink and drive, so use a designated driver or rideshare app if you plan on drinking. We want everyone to have a safe summer!

MISSING JUVENILE EVA VIRGINIA CAMBRON HAS BEEN LOCATED

UPDATE #1: (Duluth, Ga., Mar. 5, 2024) –Eva has been located and is with her family.

ORIGINAL: (Duluth, Ga., Feb. 16, 2024) – Gwinnett County Police are seeking help from the public locating a missing 15-year-old Lilburn girl.
Eva Virginia Cambron was last seen on January 26, at approximately 12:15 p.m., leaving McClure Health Science High School at 3921 Club Drive in unincorporated Duluth. After she left campus, she was seen running down Club Drive towards Shackleford Road.
Eva was last seen wearing a grey hoodie, dark-colored pants, and light-colored shoes. She is approximately 5 feet 2 inches tall and weighs about 115 pounds. Eva has long dark hair and brown eyes.
She was originally reported missing through the Gwinnett County School Police Department.
On February 12, the Gwinnett County Police Department took over the investigation.
Investigators are seeking tips on Eva’s whereabouts at 770.513.5300 or through Crime Stoppers of Greater Atlanta at 404.577.8477.

Update: The intersection is reopened.

Beginning at around 9:00am on Friday, February 16, the Motors Unit will be directing traffic on Buford Highway and Hamilton Mill Road for the Department of Transportation.

Northbound and southbound traffic on Buford Highway will be open. Drivers will not be able to make any left turns or travel straight to/from Hamilton Mill Road and South Hill Street. Motorists will be allowed to make right turns onto South Hill Street and Hamilton Mill Road from Buford Highway.

This road closure is expected to last several hours.
