Great museum!

Tour and Explore on your own or with a group!

The seven rooms and four niche display areas of the African American Museum of Bucks County are filled with amazing local history spanning five centuries. Visitors who opt for a self-guided tour are aided by knowledgeable docents in every room.

AAMBC also offers historian-led guided tours for groups from 5-20. (Groups larger than 20 are divided into two groups, starting 15 minutes apart). Since opening in June, guided tours have been given to groups from churches and Quaker meetings, retirement
communities and neighborhoods, and social groups, including Questers, AAUW, Rotaries, clubs, historical societies, and groups of family and friends.

Tours last about an hour, with stories told in each area. At the conclusion, guests are invited to go back and explore areas
of particular interest.

At present, Wednesday and Thursday mornings from 9 AM – 1 PM are reserved for tour groups, although special arrangements may be made for other times on request.

The Department of Education has made it official: the 2020 Title IX rules are back. These rules make it harder for students who experience sexual harassment or assault to get help, and they let schools wait longer to act. The change also removes clear protections for LGBTQ+ and pregnant students.

Schools don't have to wait for Washington to do the right thing. AAUW calls on every school, from K-12 through college, to:
✔️Make support easy to find
✔️Respond quickly when a student reports
✔️Keep students in class and on track

And we call on Congress to hold schools accountable and strengthen federal civil rights enforcement.

AAUW State College & the Community Diversity Group invite you to this fall's CEW Luncheon.

Women in public office bring greater focus on family and health policy, more cross-party collaboration, and stronger constituency engagement. Yet fewer women run, often due to social expectations, caregiving demands, and bias in recruitment and fundraising.

Local women who have served in elected office or helped in elections will share their experiences and offer advice for anyone considering a run or helping elect other women to public office.
