What a way to kick off the 2026 Popcorn Sale!

After our first weekend of selling, Washington Crossing Council Scouts are already more than 50% ahead of our opening weekend last year!

And it’s not just the dollars. We have 72 Scouts already selling, up from 53 after Weekend 1 last year, and they’re averaging $454 per Scout, compared with $381 at this point in 2025.

Our Scouts and customers are also showing some incredible generosity through Heroes & Helpers, with more than $4,200 already raised to provide popcorn to local heroes in our communities.

Check out this week’s Top 10 Scouts and Top 10 Units, and congratulations to everyone who got out there and made our first weekend such a strong one!

This is only Weekend 1. There’s a lot of popcorn left to sell. 🍿

🚒 Scouting in the community!

Cub Scout Pack 79 had the opportunity to visit the Perkasie Fire Company for a hands-on lesson in fire safety, emergency preparedness, and the equipment firefighters use every day.

A big thank you to the Perkasie Fire Company and Firefighter Abby Trotter for welcoming our Scouts and creating such a fun learning experience!

This is what Cub Scouting is all about: learning by doing and connecting Scouts with the people who serve their communities. ⚜️

On Thursday, our department hosted Perkasie Cub Scout Pack 79 at our station for fire safety awareness and a tour of the firehouse.

Firefighter and Fire Education Coordinator Abby Trotter held a station scavenger hunt.
Scouts were able to tour the firehouse to identify and learn about equipment our firefighters use for every day response operations, as well as fire safety tools like smoke detectors, fire extinguishers and how to create an emergency exit plan.

We’d like to thank Cub Scout Pack 79 for visiting! 🚒🧯

Join us for our next WCC Membership Mixer: Tech Talk on Tuesday, June 30th at 7:30 PM as we look at practical ways units can use technology to reach new families, strengthen communication, and support their recruitment efforts.

This session is built for unit leaders, membership chairs, new member coordinators, commissioners, and anyone helping grow Scouting in their community.
