Stop #2 on the Carolina Barbecue Roadmap takes us to Raleigh! 📍

Our intern, Natalie, stopped by Sam Jones BBQ for a quick lunch and discovered why this Raleigh spot is a local favorite. From chopped barbecue with crispy bits of skin to generous, flavorful sides, every bite delivered.

With a bustling atmosphere, indoor and outdoor seating, and a true sense of community, Sam Jones BBQ made this stop one to remember!

Great to host the Iowa leadership team at our office on Monday as part of their tour! They stopped by Strickland Farming Group, run by board member Reggie Strickland and his daughter Savannah Gentry. Always glad to connect and share what our growers are doing!

Severe weather can change quickly, but preparation happens long before the forecast.

North Carolina pig farmers work year-round to help protect their farms and stay ready when conditions change.

The North Carolina BBQ Trail is officially underway! 📍

Our intern, Natalie Perry stopped by Red Bridges BBQ Lodge in Shelby and got to experience its Carolina BBQ, rich history, and signature 1946 vinegar-based sauce. And of course, she couldn't leave without a bottled SunDrop from the first restaurant to sell it!

Congratulations to Carson Rose on joining the Southeastern Land Group team! 🌱

Carson was a member of the inaugural Pork Leadership Carolinas Class of 2022, and we’re proud to see our PLC alumni continuing to grow and make an impact in North Carolina agriculture.

Congratulations, Carson, and best wishes in your new role!

🌾 Welcome to Southeastern Land Group, Carson Rose - Southeastern Land Group & Poultry South!

We’re excited to welcome Carson to the Southeastern Land Group team! With more than 15 years of experience in agricultural real estate valuation and a lifelong connection to farming, Carson brings a unique perspective and deep knowledge of the land to every client he serves.

Carson and his family have called the Newton Grove community of Eastern North Carolina home for generations, with his family farming there since 1740. Today, he continues that tradition by operating a 6,300-head swine finishing operation with his father.

Whether he’s helping a family market a legacy farm, assisting with the sale or purchase of a livestock or poultry operation, or helping a buyer find the right piece of land, Carson is committed to providing knowledgeable, straightforward guidance every step of the way.

Outside of real estate and farming, Carson enjoys spending time with his wife, Kayla, and their two children, Colton and Mary Elizabeth, especially along the North Carolina coast, boating and riding ATVs.

We’re proud to have Carson on the team and look forward to seeing the experience and expertise he brings to Southeastern Land Group! 🌱
