A new business has officially opened its doors in Downtown Lubbock!🌇

ImageNet Consulting, a family-owned technology company, recently celebrated the grand opening of its new facility in Lubbock, Texas. 🖨️🧑‍💻

Founded in 1956 as Southwest Typewriter Company, ImageNet has grown & evolved alongside the changing technology landscape. For over 70 years, the company has helped businesses improve efficiency & reduce costs through innovative technology solutions.

Their new location adds to the continued growth & momentum we are seeing in downtown.

Exciting progress is happening at The Jim Kimmel Center! Crews are actively on site & a lot of progress has already been made. The children’s playground is complete & work continues to move forward on the rest of the project.🛝🏠

With new projects already in the works, the momentum isn’t slowing down! From the projects participating in the Downtown Grant Program alone, we’ve seen $123.5 million in private investment since 2016 & a $21.14 to $1 private-to-public return.

A Historic Day for Downtown Lubbock 🌳✨

The Lubbock Downtown Park Conservancy officially broke ground on Pickering Park, a transformational green space that will reshape the heart of downtown for generations.

This $12.1 million, privately funded project reflects a powerful community effort among individuals, foundations, corporations & partners. So far, $9.7 million has been raised to fully fund construction & reach nearly 80% of the overall fundraising goal. Remaining funds will support a long-term operational endowment to keep the park thriving for decades.

Construction is underway, with Teinert Construction serving as general contractor & completion is expected in 9–10 months. Once finished, Pickering Park will include Feature Stage Pavilion, Family Zone, Art Zone, Event Greenspace, Pet Park, Rock Garden, Shady Plaza, Food Truck Grove & Game Zone — creating a vibrant, welcoming destination in downtown Lubbock.
