Hello PFLAG Coeur d’Alene/Kootenai County Community!
You are cordially invited to our PFLAG Coeur d'Alene/Kootenai County support meeting this Sunday (May 17th) 3:00pm-4:30pm, located at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in midtown CDA (501 E Wallace). This month’s discussion will be “History of Pride in our Area”
Our monthly facilitated support meetings are a safe and welcoming space for LGBTQIA+ people, friends, families, and allies to get peer-to-peer support through shared stories and experiences. Come as you are! We are here to support each other along the journey of learning, acceptance, and celebration! You do not have to be a PFLAG member to attend these meetings. Light refreshments will be provided. Because the content of our meetings can sometimes get complex, we do ask that the support meetings be attended by ages 18+.
We are honored to announce Logan Beckett as the recipient of our 2026 Scholarship. Logan is an exceptional student who exemplifies leadership, resilience, and a deep commitment to making our region safer and more inclusive for LGBTQ+ individuals and families. Currently pursuing a degree in social work, Logan is preparing for a future dedicated to supporting children, individuals, and families navigating adversity, trauma, and marginalization. We are inspired by Logan’s vision and heart for service. Logan, it is truly our honor to support you and be a small part of your journey. We are so proud of you!
We would love to have you all help staff our booth at the 2026 CdA Pride in the Park! Sign up for a time slot here: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0B45AAAD2DAAF5C34-64095566-cdapride

The next Rainbow Squad program will be on Saturday, May 16th from 6:30 to 8:30 pm. This month’s activity will be painting glass bottles with fairy lights and playing drawing games. Note that the June meeting will be on a different day- it will be on June 5th from 6:30-8:30 pm and will include a variety of Pride themed crafts and activities. These are the last two hangouts for the season. Rainbow Squad started in 2019 and is for LGBTQIA2S+ teens and Allies to hang out, make crafts, and play games. Rainbow Squad is open to all middle schoolers and high schoolers (6th-12th grade). This program is run by Denise and Kelsey and other vetted volunteers and is funded by donations from amazing people in our community. If you would like to donate to their cause, or simply be added to their email list send them a quick note [email protected]
Thank you everyone for being you! Please reach out if you or a loved one ever needs support!
