🎓 Attention Stewart County High School Seniors!

The NWTF Dr. James Earl Kennamer Academic Scholarship Program is now accepting applications — and a $1,000 scholarship is available for one deserving senior!

📅 Deadline: February 17, 2026
📍 Applications must be turned in to the Stewart County High School counselor

Eligibility:
✔️ Current NWTF member
✔️ High school senior with a 3.0 GPA or higher
✔️ Submit a 400–600 word essay showing your dedication to conservation and preserving our hunting heritage

🏆 Golden Gobbler Elite – 2025 🦃

We’re proud to share that the LBL Longbeards Chapter was recognized at the NWTF Tennessee State Banquet with the Golden Gobbler Elite Award — one of the highest honors a chapter can receive.

One of our dedicated committee members attended the state banquet and proudly accepted this award on behalf of the entire LBL Longbeards chapter. This recognition reflects the hard work, dedication, and passion of our volunteers who continue to support conservation, hunting heritage, and NWTF’s mission here at home.

🦌 LBL Longbeards Host First Wheelin’ Sportsmen Event 🦌

The LBL Longbeards of Stewart County, a proud chapter of the NWTF, were honored to host three hunters for our first-ever Wheelin’ Sportsmen whitetail hunt on January 2–3, 2026, right here in Stewart County, Tennessee.

The NWTF Wheelin’ Sportsmen Program, established in 2000, was created to provide individuals with mobility impairments the opportunity to enjoy hunting, shooting sports, and the outdoors—experiences that may otherwise be out of reach due to access, injury, or the need for assistance.

These events are about more than just hunting. They build camaraderie, create lifelong memories, and often give participants the confidence and knowledge to continue enjoying the outdoors on their own throughout the year.

None of this would be possible without dedicated volunteers who give their time, energy, and resources to make these opportunities a reality. We’re proud to support this mission and look forward to hosting many more events in the future.
