Do you want to make a real difference for veterans in our community? Roof-A-Vet is growing, and we’re looking for passionate, community-driven people to join our Board.

Our mission is simple: provide veterans with safe, reliable roofs at little to no cost, and we need strong leaders to help us continue making that happen!

We’re looking for people who:
🔹 Care about supporting local veterans
🔹 Want to give back to the community
🔹 Have ideas, connections, or skills that can help a nonprofit grow
🔹 Are excited to be part of something meaningful

We’re deeply saddened to share the passing of Gary Whitmarsh (1946 - 2026), a Vietnam veteran, a founding force behind Roof-A-Vet, and someone who truly lived to help others.

Gary wasn’t just on the board; he was the first Roof-A-Vet recipient. After experiencing the program firsthand, he made it his mission to help bring that same support to other veterans across New Hampshire.

If you have ever met Gary, you know the smile. The stories. The way he instantly made you feel like you mattered.
That’s exactly how he treated every veteran he came across.

His impact on this program and on the people behind it is something we’ll carry with us forever.
